Yes, I’m doing it. I’m going to commit to blogging at least once a month and try to work up to once a week. The good news is, I’m so busy blogging and working for other people that I have a hard time finding time to blog for me. The bad news is, I really need to practice what I preach and get a blog out there. So, here we go…………………..
My plan is to use this space to share tips and ideas to help you in marketing yourself and your business. From time to time, I may share another blog I’ve done just so you can see what else I write on or I may share something totally off the wall that has more to do with being a mom-boss or something. Who knows. Tell me what you want to see and I’ll work it in. Even better, if you write on these same topics and want to be a guest blogger (since I don’t have enough time and all) let me know that too.
Tip #1
Don’t forget to LOVE life and not just LIVE life.
This is an often overlooked, but important, lesson that I learned by losing a truly dear friend just before the holidays. The drink and the duck are a blog for another day. But, I point this out to you as it should be a big part of your WHY in everything you do. As a Mompreneur, (don’t judge me- it SHOULD be in the dictionary) I am striving in 2017 to remember why I am working for myself. When my son wants to take some of my time when I’m working on a project, I need to remember that HE is my WHY and take a break. When he’s sick, on the couch and I have a big project to do, I need to change my plan. I can always take my tablet or laptop to the couch and sit with him while I work. Just being together is the important thing.
Cut it out, put it in your planner, do whatever you have to do to remind yourself every single day that life is too short to just keep on living it. Look at your WHY and remember to LOVE your life.
