Repurposing Content

Whether you are a blogger, course creator, podcaster, or author, you are consistently creating content that you want the world to see. Social media is just one of the ways that you are able to get that content out there. Being able to take one piece of content you have done and multiply it in formats to fit various mediums is a very helpful skill when it comes to Marketing.

Luckily, this is one of my strengths. I’m going to show you several ways that you can repurpose your content and spread the word about your business.

Social media

Social media is probably the first place you would think of for sharing your content and it’s a great option. Various types of posts can be created and shared on multiple occasions and platforms. Here are a few of my favorites:

  • Quotes from your piece done as graphics with a bit of explainer text

  • Tips pulled into a simple social video or story post

  • Infographics to give an overview of your topic

  • Engaging questions to get people talking

Blog

For certain industries, it might make sense to create a blog of your original content. For instance, if you are a realtor and you did a video about raising your credit scores you could easily turn that into a blog about the same topic. If you were a course creator, you could take one of the modules and create tips in a blog format. Are you getting the idea?

Newsletter/Email

Now that you have a piece of content, you could send out an email or newsletter to everyone on your email list and tell them about it.

Course

Could you take the information you created and make a short course out of it?

Maybe you could combine it with some other content and make a longer course?

Ebook

If you are a person who has been creating contact consistently, it’s possible that you may be able to pull some of your pieces together to create an ebook. Authoring a book is a great way to lend to your credibility.

Lead magnet

Nearly every business needs to gather an email list. A lead magnet is a great way to do that. A lead magnet is a piece of content that you offer to someone in exchange for their email address so that you can get them on your list.

Are you starting to get an idea now about how you can use all of your content and multiply it out? Great!

Click HERE and download a copy of my repurposing worksheets. You can print these out and use them to brainstorm where to put your content. (See what I did there? I am using this content as a lead magnet. 😉)

Repurposing content is not only one of the best things I do but it is one of my favorite things to do.

If you are at a loss as to how to do this in your business, let’s set up a free brainstorming session. I would be happy to help you come up with some ideas.
